Yes it happened, we were able to purchase this great house which sits on a acre of wood above the Cahaba river. It should be a great treat to live in and work on this great home. As a bonus the former owner and architect has given me the original plans, they may be a little tough to decipher but I thought you would like to see.

Happy News! I enjoyed looking the plans over,even if they are rather hard to read - especially those of the lower level. The kitchen area appears to be much more extensive than the photos led me to believe (which is nice). Is the studio (lower level) to become a bedroom for one of the boys? We hope to get down there - maybe in the early Spring of 2010. Can't wait to see it.
Yes the lower level is a bit damaged, mainly there is a bathroom in the dark area. The Studio will be a bedroom unless they decide to room together in the smaller room and use the studio (which has terrazzo floors) as a larger study project room. They both want the smaller carpeted room for their bedroom... we shall see. The big room downstairs will be a game/family kind of room, it has carpet also. Look forward to hosting a visit from you guys.
