Today, after a morning dusting of snow, Evan's all-star team competed in a regional tournament. Their team faced a team from Vestavia that was quite good and in general big. Evan's team is made up of mostly ball handling shooting guards that were undersized by Vestavia's starters. Four of them were about Evan's height. The one Evan guarded was about 50 pounds heavier as well. Homewood played fairly well but were out scored by the opponent 42 to 30. Evan played most of the game and was great getting rebounds and playing solid defense. Vestavia went on to beat the winner of the earlier game, Trussville, 50-20. While disappointed, Evan is glad that he can now concentrate on soccer and baseball. Although he is outside shooting basketball as we speak.
