We are now in Washington DC after spending a few days in NY with Byron and Jackie. We had a good time and enjoyed going to the city. However I think the highlight, at least for the boys, was the mega snowball fight we had after we arrived. The boys had never been in any real snow so they took advantage of the four or so inches of melting snow the morning after we arrived. The snow was perfect for snowballs and we all played out in the woods for over an hour. It was fun and the woods were really pretty. The snow mostly melted over the next couple days but we woke to it falling hard again this morning. It was a bit harrowing traveling to DC today with the slick roads and then the high winds but we arrived safely and are looking forward to a big day tomorrow visiting some museums at the Smithsonian. I will post again with some more pictures of our trip but for now here are ones I took of our snowball fight and the woods. I hope you all have a great new year!

We loved having you guys here and are so glad that there was some snow for you to play in.
You did miss the turkeys. Ten of them appeared just an hour or so after you left, looking for a hand-out.
Hope that you had lots of fun in D.C. and we will be looking forward to future blogs in 2009.
Happy Birthday to Evan, and Happy New Year to all!
Loved all the pictures from Christmas and NY. Building snowmen and snowball fights, how fun!!
I'll check in again for pictures from the rest of your travels.
Glad you are back home safe and sound.
Happy Belated Birthday to Evan.
Make sure you contact me to let me know if we can meet up in Mississippi.
Until then, Happy New Year to all.
Love,
Willie
