Ian finished a great season today with a 4-2 win. That gave his team an unbeaten record with only one tie. As keeper Ian only gave up one goal all season, coming yesterday when a couple of rules came into play. First a player can not send the ball to the keeper and the keeper pick it up. This happened because Ian thought that his player had not touched the ball. The penalty kick that resulted had to be indirect. The player kicking it did not know this and kicked it straight in, instinctively Ian dove for the ball and barely touched it as it went in. He did not know that indirect meant it only had to touch another player, on either team. Lesson learned. Still a great record. Hope he can keep it up at the Governor's Cup where he will get many more shots to defend.
