We woke up bright and early this morning for Evan's early game. We had to be there by 7:30 - BOO! The Rangers were not tested much this game and easily routed the BUSA club 9-1. Evan had a good game with a score and several nice assists. Their record was 8-0 for the second consecutive season. They will keep practicing on their regular schedule for two weeks getting prepared for the governor's cup. They will be playing Friday night, noon on Saturday and two games Sunday. Their bracket is really hard, being comprised of all the best teams from the last cup.
Ian's game was an hour after Evan's. His team picked up where Evan's left off and totally whipped their competition 12-0. His teams record was 5-2-1. Not bad at all, we hope they keep this group together as they have developed a lot of chemistry this season. Ian's team is not going to the governor's cup but Ian did get picked (along with two other boys from his team) to represent Homewood U9 on an allstar team. He is excited about playing with some of his old teamates and going to his first tournament.
