Recent Events

This past weekend Evan's soccer team the Homewood Rangers played in their first tournament, the Governor's Cup, held in Decator, Al. The Rangers did great. There were four teams in their division. Their first match was against a seasoned Auburn club that had never lost to an under nine team. The match ended in a 0/0 tie. The second game was against Hunstville, they were down 1 to 0 but rallied back to win 2 to 1. The last match was against Chelsea. The Rangers, with two assists from Evan won 3 to 0. Unfortunately, the team from Auburn also won their other games so the Rangers had to settle for a share of first place. We were really proud of their efforts. Evan had a great season, with a final record of 10-1-1. Next up is basketball. Evan and Ian will play together on one team and Evan plans to also play in another league that is a bit more competitive. Here are some shots from the Governor's Cup.
