We just returned from a nice camping vacation to the Georgia and South Carolina coast. We stayed three nights in Skidaway Island State Park right outside Savanna. We spent our time eating seafood and visiting attractions around the city. We went to Fort Polaski, a civil war era fort that protected the mouth of the Savanna river and Wormsloe, a colonial ear estate that features a beautiful road lined with live oaks. We spent one afternoon on the public beach on Tybee Island and took a walking ghost tour of old Savanna. From Savanna we travelled to Edisto Island in South Carolina. We camped there for two nights and had a blast enjoying the nice beach there. Here are some pictures from the trip.
